First determine the task: mowing, forming windrows or arranging the collected crop. Then evaluate the terrain, crop density, required working width and daily working area. In addition to tractor engine power, the three-point hitch, PTO, hydraulic connections, lifting capacity and balance requirements must also be checked.

Product Selection and Machine Models
Drum mowers such as the TM 165 and TM 195 are used to cut the crop. Rotary hay rakes such as the TM-R 330 and TM-R 3.5 form the cut material into orderly windrows. The AK 4 uses finger wheels for hay gathering and windrow formation.
Compatibility is not determined by horsepower alone. The three-point hitch category, PTO speed and rotation direction, hydraulic outlets, lifting capacity, front-to-rear weight balance and transport dimensions must be evaluated together. When in doubt, send your tractor model and machine details to TÜMİŞ.
Please specify the requested model, quantity, delivery city or country, tractor make and model, intended use and any special requirements. For corporate purchases, providing company and delivery details helps streamline the quotation process. Request a Quote page.
The TM 165 manual specifies a 165 cm cutting width, 2 drums, 6 blades in total, a 540 rpm PTO speed and a 1,920 rpm drum speed. Recommended tractor power is 25 HP and machine weight is approximately 350 kg. For details, see the TM 165 product page .
The TM-R 3.5 brochure specifies a 3.50 m working width, 3.10 m rotor diameter, 9 arms and 3 spring tines on each arm. Tractor power is 35 HP, PTO speed is 540 rpm and machine weight is approximately 345 kg. For details, see the TM-R 3.5 product page .
The TM-R 330-9 manual specifies a 3.30 m working width, 1.50 m transport width, 9 rotor arms and 3 spring tines on each arm. Tractor power is 45 HP and machine weight is approximately 360 kg. For details, see the TM-R 330 product page .
The AK 4 manual specifies 4 wheels, 40 tines per wheel, a 1.42 m wheel diameter, a 2.60 m windrowing width and an approximate weight of 170 kg. The recommended maximum tractor speed is 15 km/h. For details, see the AK 4 product page .
According to the brochure values, the TM-R 330-9 has an approximate working width of 3.30 m and requires 45 HP, while the TM-R 3.5 has a 3.50 m working width and requires 35 HP. The choice should not be based on these figures alone; terrain, crop density, tractor connections and transport conditions must be considered together.
Operation, Maintenance and Service
No. The PTO requirement must be checked for each model. The TM 165 and TM-R 3.5 documents specify 540 rpm. Before connection, compare the tractor PTO speed and rotation direction with the machine identification plate, and make sure the PTO shaft guards are fitted.
Place the machine on level ground, apply the parking brake, stop the engine and remove the ignition key. Disengage the PTO and wait until all moving parts have stopped. If work will be carried out beneath the hitch or hydraulic system, secure the machine with suitable mechanical supports.
Check the hitch pins, safety clips, guards, PTO shaft, hydraulic hoses, tyres, bolts and locks. Inspect the blades on mowers and the springs, arms and wheels on hay rakes. Remove foreign objects such as stones, wire and metal from the working area.
Reduce speed according to terrain slope, ground conditions, crop density, moisture, visibility and the machine's working quality. The maximum value in the manual is not a target operating speed. Speed must always be reduced when turning, on slopes and on uneven ground.
Place the machine fully in transport position and secure folding components, rotor arms, safety locks and support stands according to the manual. Check lighting, reflectors, total width, tractor balance and local traffic regulations.
A single maintenance interval cannot be applied to all models. Before each use, check connections, guards, loose bolts, tyres and working components. Service grease points, joints, bearings and gearbox oil according to the lubricant type and interval specified in the latest manual for the relevant model.
Provide the machine model, serial number, year of manufacture when known, part name or catalogue reference, and required quantity. An overall photo of the part and close-up photos showing the connection point and code reduce the risk of supplying the wrong part. Spare Parts Catalogue and OEM Search page.
Technical Service and Maintenance or Contact page using the machine model and serial number. Describe the operating conditions in which the fault occurred, the symptoms observed and any previous work performed. Attach a photo or short video when it is safe to do so.
Published documents are available on the Manuals & Catalogues page. If the model or revision you need is not listed, contact TÜMİŞ with the machine model, serial number and, when available, year of manufacture.
